Scope

These Terms apply to Mimizuku. Mimizuku helps users play local media, generate transcripts, translate transcripts, show subtitles, manage transcripts, and export transcript/subtitle files.

Local-first behavior

Ordinary playback, transcription, translation, subtitle display, and transcript management are generally processed on your device. Network access may occur for login, Premium verification, purchases, model downloads, and external links.

Eligible media

Use the app only with media that you have the right to play, transcribe, store, edit, and export.

Paid features

Mimizuku Premium is planned to include Premium transcription models, offline translation, export, and fullscreen live transcript. Japanese reference pricing is JPY 490/month with a 7-day trial and JPY 4,900/year with a 14-day trial.

Disclaimer

Transcripts, translations, subtitles, and exports may contain errors. Review generated content yourself before relying on it for important decisions.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms.

Account and paid access

Premium, purchase restoration, cancellation, refunds, account deletion, and email login may require a Mimizuku Account. Keep your login methods, one-time codes, devices, and operating-system accounts secure. Mimizuku may suspend or limit access for security, fraud prevention, payment protection, legal compliance, or Terms violations.

User content and rights

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to play, transcribe, translate, subtitle, store, export, share, or publish media and generated outputs. Mimizuku does not verify copyright, privacy, confidentiality, employment, school, streaming-service, or cloud-storage restrictions for your files.

Generated outputs

Transcripts, translations, subtitles, thumbnails, waveforms, metadata, and exports may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not official records, legal evidence, medical records, identity-verification materials, or professional advice. Verify important content against the original media.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Premium is planned as an auto-renewing subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel future renewals through Stripe Billing Portal, the in-app flow, or the relevant store. Premium may be locked after expiry, refund, chargeback, payment failure, or entitlement revocation.

Liability and changes

To the extent permitted by law, Mimizuku is provided as is and the provider is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, lost profits, third-party claims, network/storage fees, or generated-output errors. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited. Features, models, prices, trials, and supported platforms may change.
